Lyrics combine words with melody to convey the essence of a moment, feeling, and experience. In this workshop, we will examine various music genres and the fundamental elements of a strong lyric. We will generate ideas and explore the songwriting process in order to individually and co-write lyrics in a supportive and open atmosphere. All levels of writers welcome to draw on experience to develop your creative self expression. Students are welcome, but not required, to bring hand held instruments such as acoustic guitars.
